Frisco, Texas (May 6, 2024) – North Texas SC has been named MLS NEXT Pro’s Team of Matchweek 8 after a commanding 2-0 win over Sporting Kansas City II on Sunday, May 5. A brace from defender Malachi Molina helped earn three points on the road.
This is the second time this season North Texas SC has been named Team of Matchweek since Week 6 after defeating Colorado 2-0 on the road on April 21.
North Texas SC is currently on a seven-game unbeaten streak and is the only undefeated team in MLS NEXT Pro. The team has conceded the fewest goals in the league with five, and currently sits in third place with 16 points in the Western Conference with four wins and three draws.
